Father Sam

Father Sam has been a member of the Brothers of Saint John since 2012. He spent most of his seminary years in France where he studied philosophy and theology at the Ecole Saint Jean. He was assigned in Cebu for his apostolic exposure period from 2017-2020 and, after finishing his theology studies and being ordained a priest in 2022, he was reassigned to Cebu.

He is currently the Youth Coordinator of the Faith Hub Cebu located at the Saint Joseph Priory of the Brothers of Saint John in San Nicolas, Cebu City. He has been trained in youth ministry by Alpha, an organization he partners with in his mission. He has been invited as a public speaker and facilitator to many events where he has shared about leadership training, mental health, social media evangelization, and more.

Aside from youth ministry and public speaking, Fr. Sam is active in spreading a welcoming and positive image of the Catholic Church through social media where he has 290k followers on TikTok and 458k followers on Facebook. He partners with the Hallow App where he gives daily reflections. He won the award for Best Social Media Influencer at the Cebu Metropolitan Catholic Mass Media Awards in 2024. He was nominated as Best Social Media Influencer at the National Catholic Mass Media Awards in 2024.
